Would colonizing mars really save mankind?
Right now, the goal is to move away from a dying planet called Earth, although, how would we REALLY survive? It is complex to imagine that a colony on Mars would ever fully survive itself, but the thought of saving humankind would make us feel that we have to be completely dependent.
We have to wait until the Martian atmosphere is able to sustain life or else the colonization would be needed to be done indoors. Also, the needed manufactured elements of a space station or biodome would have to come from Earth. Although, to build city-sized biodomes, Mars would still suffer from the same doom the Earth would experience when the sun once enters its final stages of life. When the sun does take all of its fuel, it will shrink to a carbon core known as a black.
Also, there are awkward questions that have been asked frequently such as "What types of species would the humans on Mars be after two or three generations"? According to Charles Darwin's theory of environmental factors and natural selections, we will eventually change our personalities and would eventually look different after living on Mars. This also means that we would evolve into Martians.
